World Urdu Day (عالمییومِاردو) is celebrated all over the world on the birth day of famous Urdu poet Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal on 9 November.
Urdu has a rich vocabulary, partly because of its inherited words from Sanskrit and because of its historical borrowing from Persian and Arabic via Persian. ‘Love’ is no exception. The Urdu speaker or writer has plenty to choose from–from mundane and commonplace words to highly refined poetic terms.
